We currently have two vacancies at our office in Windermere:


Financial Administrator

Job purpose:

To directly support the activities of the Development Trust ( the Company) by providing, maintaining and developing the financial, accounting and administration support required to deliver the objectives of the Company and those of projects directly delivered or managed by the Trust

To provide the financial and administration support required by the Company.

Main Duties:

  1. To maintain all financial records appertaining to the Company and its projects as required to fulfil the statutory obligations of the Company together with those relating to its Charitable Status.
  2. To maintain proper working practices within the Company as required to meet all statutory operational obligations including all personnel and related documentation.
  3. To undertake financial, budgeting and business development planning and deliver monthly management accounts for the Company.
  4. To undertake the timely production of project monitoring and funding application reports at the frequencies required by the appropriate funding or accountable bodies.
  5. To administer, raise and issue all paperwork relating to sales and receipts within the Company and to maintain all associated accounting and payroll records utilising an approved system.
  6. To complete all monitoring and associated reports as might be required by our funders or those funding projects through the Company.
  7. To manage activities within the business resource support team and other ‘fee for service’ activities delivered through the resource facility.
  8. To provide bookkeeping and administrative support to third party businesses meeting our criteria for such support assistance.
  9. To identify, complete and submit funding applications as might be required to enable the onward development of the Company and its project delivery capability.
  10. To maintain regular liaison with nominated personnel within South Lakeland District Council and to ensure that the Company meet agreed reporting and monitoring obligations to SLDC/NWDA (Northwest Regional Development Agency) and other funders relating to project delivery.
  11. To liaise with those professional bodies retained by the Company to ensure ongoing legislative compliance.
  12. To attend, participate and provide appropriate financial reports to meetings of the directors of the Company or attend and participate as appropriate at other meetings as might be required.
  13. To undertake such other duties, in addition to the above, as may be assigned to the post from time to time.
